Our Commitment to the Environment

Our personal electronics, such as our mobile phones, VR kits, tablets and laptops, contain toxic and hazardous materials. These include arsenic, lead, and mercury, all very harmful to human and environmental health. The improper disposal of these electronics creates electronic waste (e-waste) in our landfills which can pose a threat to the environment and the health ourselves and loved ones.

In order to combat the growing problem of e-waste, we are committed to conveniently recycle these electronics for instant monetary reward.
The goal of iPoint is to have a positive impact on the environment through responsible recycling including the conservation of metals, plastic, and other non-renewable resources. iPoint is committed to accomplishing its business objectives while meeting the environmental, health, and safety expectations of stakeholders including our management, employees, customers, suppliers, and regulators.

We are equally committed to meet or exceed our customer requirements, to continually improve our processes, and to maintain compliance with relevant environmental, occupational, health, safety, and data security laws and regulations.
We strive to minimize adverse impacts on the environment by managing used and end-of-life electronic equipment, components, and materials - with respect to both on-site activities and the selection of downstream vendors - using a "reuse, recover, dispose" hierarchy of responsible management strategies.

iPoint will continually improve its environmental, health and safety performance through responsible recycling requirements. This will include setting goals, taking into consideration our business, financial, operational and legal requirements as well as the views of interested parties.
According to Pew Research Center, 91% of American adults own a cell phone, and 55% own a smartphone. Many people don’t know what to do with old or unwanted electronic devices, leaving them to the trash or landfills. According to the EPA, e-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in America and less than 20 percent of unwanted cell phones are recycled each year.

iPoint was founded to address this challenge. We leverage technology to help increase the recycling rate for electronic devices by offering convenience and an immediate financial incentive for people to responsibly recycle used electronics.
Don’t Trash It, Cash It! With less than 20 percent of electronics being safely recycled, it means the majority are dumped in landfills or burned in incinerators. Electronics contain a variety of materials than can pose risks to human health and our environment. In addition to heavy metals such as lead and mercury, there are quantities of arsenic, beryllium, cadmium and gobs of polyvinyl chloride. Prolonged or high levels of exposure to these chemicals can hurt the environment or cause serious, long lasting effects on the body.
