Used electronics, inspected before anyone pays.
Found a deal on Facebook Marketplace or anywhere else online? BiNew makes it safe for both sides. The seller brings the device to iPoint in Hackensack, NJ. We inspect it and send the buyer a written report. The buyer pays the seller directly. Then the device is picked up at our office or shipped to any US state. The buyer pays the inspection fee. The seller pays nothing.
Show your confidence in your item.
- A free iPoint line for your listing. It tells buyers you are ready to have your device inspected.
- Sell beyond local pickup. Facebook Marketplace will not ship anything listed over $500. With BiNew, a buyer in any state can buy it, and iPoint ships it.
- Paid before it leaves. We release the device only after you confirm the buyer's payment. No waiting for delivery or a platform payout.
- No platform fee off your price. You keep the full price. The buyer pays for the inspection.
See it checked before you pay for it.
- Checked by iPoint, not by the seller. A written report with photos, compared with the listing.
- Pay the seller only after you read it. iPoint never holds your money.
- What you read is what you get. The device stays with us until the seller confirms your payment.
- Pickup or delivery. Collect it in Hackensack or have it shipped to your door, with optional shipping insurance.
How BiNew works
- You agree on a deal. On any online marketplace or classifieds site.
- The buyer books BiNew. The buyer pays the inspection fee up front. The seller gets an appointment.
- The seller drops off the device. At iPoint in Hackensack, NJ. From then on it stays with us.
- We inspect it. We check, test and photograph the device and send the buyer a written report.
- The buyer decides. Happy with the report? Pay the seller directly. Not happy? Walk away, and the seller takes the device back.
- Handover. Once the seller confirms the payment, we hand the device over at our office or pack and ship it. If the deal does not close within a week, the device goes back to the seller.
What the BiNew report covers
- Identity. Model, serial number and IMEI, matched to the box and the listing.
- Locks. Activation Lock, Google and DJI account locks, console bans, carrier lock and the stolen-phone block list.
- Function. Screen, cameras, sound, buttons, ports, wireless and charging, plus tests for each category.
- Health. Battery condition, signs of liquid damage, and visible repairs or replaced parts.
- Condition and contents. Photos of every side, and what is in the box.
The report describes the device on the day we inspect it. The device stays with iPoint until handover.
Is Facebook Marketplace safe for used electronics?
Not on its own. Facebook's Purchase Protection does not cover local pickup or deals paid outside its checkout, and Marketplace will not ship anything listed over $500. So expensive devices change hands in parking lots, for payments that cannot be taken back, after a quick look at a device that may be locked, stolen or damaged.
BiNew puts a third party in the middle: the device is checked before money moves, and money moves before the device does. Read our guide to Facebook Marketplace scams in NJ and NYC.
